Helicon Industries is building what it calls an autonomous carbon fiber foundry for unmanned systems. In plain English, it wants to make lightweight composite parts, starting with drone frames, at industrial volume in the United States. The initial wedge is not a software subscription. It is a physical manufacturing capability: a factory that takes a customer's drone-frame design, converts it into a manufacturable molded composite part, produces the mold, runs compression molding, inspects the output, and feeds the production data back into the software stack.
